ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Taylor! I’m a physician assistant in Philadelphia PA and this blog is my passion project. I am starting this blog to share my love of cooking delicious food for health and longevity. There is nothing that makes me happier than when my food tastes good AND is good for me! I hope this space gives you inspiration to cook tasty meals that help you reach your health goals.

MY STORY

I grew up in an Italian household and learned how to cook by watching my mom make dinner every night. Every great recipe starts with garlic and my cooking is influenced by my Italian roots. As I developed a love of running and CrossFit, I realized I had to learn how to make food that would fuel my active lifestyle. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than a sad salad that you force yourself to eat.

Now that I am married to my very hungry husband, Breidy, I have learned how to make meals faster, meal prep efficiently, and make busy weeknights easier. This gives us plenty of time to go for walks and play with our French bulldog, Lucy.

MY EDUCATION & CAREER

I am a full time cardiac surgery physician assistant and started practicing in 2015. In that time, I have seen firsthand how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle to avoid chronic and preventable diseases. I wholeheartedly believe we can avoid many chronic illnesses by choosing a healthy way of living.

In 2021, I started a residency in Integrative Medicine to learn how adjunct therapies and diet changes can improve health. I finished the training in 2022 and have learned and implemented many strategies that help me feel my best every day. My goal is to use my experience and passion to bring you creative recipes that bring you joy and health.
